Frequently Asked Questions

We get these ones the most.

What is the wrap made of?

Stone Wrappers use StoneGuard® Stone Surface Protection Film to wrap and protect your stone surfaces.

StoneGuard® is a patented 5 mils thick clear polyethylene film that incorporates heat and chemical resistant technologies. The film will protect stone counters from oils, acids, alkaline, and harsh household chemicals that can leave permanent etchings on your stone surfaces.

How does StoneGuard® work?

StoneGuard® is an achievement in nanotechnology, which is highly resilient from chemical stains and etches. If you want to do the "deep dive" on how it works call us or visit the manufacturer's website here

Can I purchase StoneGuard® from you and install it myself?

Unfortunately not, StoneGuard® must be installed by a factory-certified technician. Fortunately, we have amazing certified technicians!

Will it make my three year old listen?

It will not.

How do I clean my "wrapped" countertops?

Once StoneGuard® is installed on your countertop, there is little maintenance.  To clean, just use warm water and a glass microfiber towel.  For more stubborn dried organic food particles, use StoneGuard® Cleaner and Surfactant.

Where do you install? Is there a minimum order amount?

Our team can install anywhere in the continental United States however minimums do apply.

We are based in Nashville, TN so any orders in the mid-south region have much smaller minimums. Please contact us to discuss your project.

What types of substances does it protect against?

White vinegar, coffee, citrus extract, bleach, red wine, and a host of chemicals and organic liquids commonly found in the kitchen.

How long does it last? Can it be removed/replaced?

StoneGuard® comes with a 3-year Warranty from bubbling, fading, discoloration, natural de-lamination (not created by an outside force) and is performance guaranteed for 15 years for chemicals etching into the stone.

It is also removable and replaceable.

How much does it cost?

We charge a flat rate per square foot of countertop. Rates vary depending on location and timing. If you have the approximate square footage of your surface we can provide you with an estimate.
